Job Details: Carries out specific aspects of personal care and selected treatments for patients and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Coordinates his/her work to meet the ever-changing needs of the department. Day-to-day responsibilities require good use of judgment regarding timely and appropriate communication with the care team concerning patient status. Recognizes the need for teamwork and functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This individual has the expressed authority to carry out the duties as directed by a registered nurse and as defined in the job description.
 
  • High school graduate or equivalent. 

·         Successful completion of a nursing assistant program or a satisfactory equivalent.

·         Certified Nursing Assistant certification or current nursing student who has completed 2 clinical rotations. 

  • CPR certification. 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Proficient at data entry and other basic computer skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. 

·         Ability to use various instruments, machines, tools, equipment and work aids as necessary to perform job duties.
